All Things Electronic, LLC, Announces Launch of New Internet Retail Site

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 26, 2006

All Things Electronic, LLC (Atlanta, GA) announces the launch of its new retail website, http://www.all-thingselectronic.com. The new Internet retailer offers home audio, home security, surveillance, intercoms, drill bits, batteries, test equipment and wire and cable products.

The marketing focus of the new venture is to offer the homeowner or small business owner professional wholesale products at retail prices. Because the owners of All Things Electronic, LLC also own an established large independent distribution company, direct sourcing from hundreds of manufacturers is possible. As the site grows and gains traction, additional items will be added from the larger brick and mortar electronic wholesale distribution business.

Another focus is in selling and supporting relatively simple plug and play type of products that require little or no technical aptitude or experience. Some of the primary product categories are home audio stereo speakers, wireless surveillance systems, personal protection products, home security alarms, door intercom systems, observation systems and a variety of wires and wire accessories.

There has been an explosive growth in the surveillance, home audio and home security markets in recent years. In addition to product offerings, the new site also provides useful articles and information to the prospective buyer.

Although primarily an Internet store, a toll free number — 877-301-2111 — is also available for questions or placing phone orders. The site has SSL encryption, features free shipping for orders $ 150 and over(and 25 lbs. or less) and easy-to-use shopping cart software. Shipping only to the 50 U.S. states at this time.

Arizona Company Introduces Innovative Decorative Ceiling Beams

Glendale, Ariz. (PRWEB) July 27, 2009

For years, home owners have sought the vintage good looks of solid wood ceiling beams. Ceiling Beam Concepts, LLC, of Arizona, has invented a unique method to add a dramatic flair to any ceiling without the typical cost and difficulty associated with such an upgrade.

Unlike faux ceiling beams, which are often made from polyurethane or foam, Ceiling Beam Concepts Interlocking Beams are made from 100% alder wood and are light enough to make installation quick and easy. These innovative beams, the brainchild of company founder Jake Bryant, are non-structural and can be installed during construction or retrofitted to a home after it is built. Ceiling Beam Concepts Interlocking Beams span long areas or can be fitted into small spaces. Aesthetically designed straps and clavos lend an additional design component and allow the beams to flow seamlessly throughout the home.

“Ceilings in today’s homes offer dramatic opportunities to extend the personality of the surrounding area,” said Jake Bryant of Ceiling Beam Concepts. “What goes overhead can make all the difference in how a room looks and feels. People ask me, “How realistic are your beams?’ Everyone has the same reaction when they see our wood beams for the first time. They are just amazed at how authentic the product looks.”

Solid wood ceiling beams are popular for their exotic beauty, strength and durability. In many modern structures, the weight inherent in old growth beams cannot be supported. Decorative ceiling beams by Ceiling Beam Concepts create the appearance of solid wood beams without the worry of whether the structure will support them. All beams are three sided and open ended, allowing them to be easily mounted to a ceiling’s drywall. The beams come in four-foot sections and cost a fraction of solid wood beams. You can even hide lighting, electrical and home theater wiring inside the beams.

“Decorative ceiling beams add style and sophistication to estates, homes, offices or commercial venues, without costing a lot of money,” said Steve Brechner of Ceiling Beam Concepts. “They accentuate ceilings and interiors, giving a room that warm and cozy feeling.”

Ceiling Beam Concepts products are sold at Home Depot stores throughout Arizona, and are offered as an upgrade by Pulte Homes.

Aircraft Technology Made Available to the Hot Rod and Muscle Car Alike

Aircraft Technology Made Available to the Hot Rod and Muscle Car Alike

(PRWEB) October 25, 2004

Wire Concepts (http://www.WireConcepts.com) releases its new wiring harness, intended for small and big block Chevrolet, which guarantees to end starter wire meltdown when properly installed.

The first of its kind, the Starter Wire Mini-Harness incorporates aircraft technology by using a Teflon-insulated nickel alloy core surrounded by a silicone impregnated fiberglass braid. The final touch is a virtually indestructible stainless steel braided outer layer that offers an exciting new look for engine wiring. This same technology is incorporated on helicopter jet engines and other aeronautic applications. Wire Concepts is the first to offer this state of the art technology to the auto industry.

OEM (original equipment manufacturer) wire harnesses, made of simple copper wire and basic insulation, are not resistant to intense header heat. When meltdown occurs starter wires may experience an electrical short, termination of starter wire function, and in worse case scenarios causing fire and extensive damage to the wire harness and car. The Starter Wire Mini-Harness by Wire Concepts is designed to withstand heat temperatures up to 1,000 degrees, making it the most durable harness on the automotive market. Aftermarket harnesses supplied through current manufacturers, such as Painless Performance Products, cannot match the quality of this new wiring harness from Wire Concepts.

The Wire Concepts wire harness offers an advantage in competition settings. By simply unplugging the Wire Concepts harness, quick removal of the starter is possible thereby shortening engine removal time. As an upgrade to stock applications in which the starter wires are extremely difficult to remove, this harness makes future removal and installation dramatically more efficient.

Future plans for Wire Concepts include offering custom wire applications as well as expanding their line by offering complete wiring harnesses for hot rods and stock vehicles of all makes and models. Currently the harness from Wire Concepts may be adapted for most applications with use of the Universal Kit in which connectors may be applied to individual project needs.

The price is $ 39.95. Contact: Wire Concepts, Inc., P.O. Box 416, Black Canyon City, AZ 85324, 623/332-5700, http://www.WireConcepts.com

ESFI Celebrates National Electrical Safety Month

February 01, 2011 By: cakpuad Category: Electrical And Electronics

ESFI Celebrates National Electrical Safety Month

Arlington, VA (Vocus/PRWEB) March 01, 2011

May is National Electrical Safety Month and the Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) is preparing for the launch of its annual campaign to increase public awareness of electrical hazards and the importance of electrical safety.

“Modern homes run on electricity, but if you don’t properly maintain your electrical products, they can create hazards,” warned ESFI president Brett Brenner. “The good news is that eliminating electrical hazards from your home doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive.”

In the U.S., home electrical problems annually cause more than 51,000 fires, resulting in more than 490 deaths, 1,400 injuries, and $ 1.3 billion in property damage, according to the National Fire Protection Association. Statistics from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission show that nearly 400 people are electrocuted in the United States each year.

The Electrical Safety Foundation International sponsors National Electrical Safety Month (NESM) each May to increase public awareness of the electrical hazards around us at home, work, school, and play. This year’s campaign challenges people across the country to evaluate the electrical safety of their homes, learning more about their electrical systems and devices in the process.

This year, ESFI is focusing on the electrical safety of a different area of the home each week during May:

Cooking Up Safety in the Kitchen (May 2–6): The kitchen is where families gather to cook favorite recipes, share warm meals, and reconnect with each other, but it’s also the location where two-thirds of all home fires start. Identify and eliminate potential hazards in your kitchen before someone gets hurt.

Plug into Safety in the Family Room (May 9–13): The family room is an area of the home where many people go to unwind, but there are often many electrical appliances and devices in use in this area. Learn to recognize electrical hazards that can exist in common areas of your home.

Wake Up to Safety in the Bedroom (May 16–20): The average adult sleeps almost 8 hours per night, spending at least one-third of every day in their bedroom. Take steps to make sure your bedroom is safe—you’ll sleep better!

Build a Foundation of Safety in the Basement (May 23–27): Heating equipment and electrical distribution systems are two of the leading causes of home fires. Help keep your home safe by learning the basics of how these systems work and making sure they are properly maintained.

New resources featured in ESFI’s 2011 National Electrical Safety Month Toolkit, such as the Home Electrical Safety Challenge, have been designed to teach people of all ages to identify and correct potential electrical hazards before a more serious situation can result. This complimentary 2011 NESM Toolkit can be downloaded on the Foundation’s website at http://www.electrical-safety.org.

To coincide with National Electrical Safety Month this May, ESFI has completed renovations on its Virtual Home online tool. This dynamic, interactive resource guides users as they navigate a virtual home room by room, building understanding about potential home electrical dangers and electrical safety.

“A healthy respect for electricity and a basic knowledge of electrical safety practices can help keep your family and home safe from electrical hazards all year long,” noted Brenner.

Visit ESFI’s Virtual Home at http://virtualhome.esfi.org/ to learn more.

The Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) is a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated exclusively to promoting electrical safety. ESFI proudly sponsors National Electrical Safety Month each May, and engages in public education campaigns throughout the year to prevent electrical fires, injuries, and fatalities. ESFI Reminds Employees to Never Assume Safe Working Conditions Around Electricity

ESFI Reminds Employees to Never Assume Safe Working Conditions Around Electricity

Arlington, VA (Vocus) May 25, 2010

The Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) is encouraging employers and employees to promote the importance of electrical safety during National Electrical Safety Month this May by increasing awareness of important safety issues.

Electrical hazards cause more than 300 electrocutions and 4,000 injuries in the workplace each year, disrupting lives and impacting the productivity of companies. While electrical hazards are not the leading cause of on-the-job injuries, accidents, and fatalities, they are disproportionately fatal and costly. Most of these electrically-related fatalities and injuries could easily be avoided. Awareness of electrical hazards is critical to accident prevention and avoidance.

ESFI has created the Never Assume Safety Series to address the most critical workplace electrical safety issues.

“The Never Assume Electrical Safety Series represents a significant step forward for ESFI in addressing electrical safety in commercial and industrial settings and is a valuable resource,” says ESFI president Brett Brenner. “We chose the name Never Assume to remind people that they must take responsibility for their own safety. People who work on or around electricity can never assume that conditions are safe, but must proactively take steps to protect themselves everyday. Safety must be an integral part of how business is conducted.

No matter where you are working – whether it’s at a large manufacturing plant or on a small installation, the following guidelines serve as a helpful reminder of basic electrical safety practices:

Be sure you are properly trained and qualified for the job.
Plan every job and think about what could go wrong.
Identify the electric shock and arc flash hazards, as well as others that may be present.
Use the right tools for the job.
Isolate equipment from energy sources.
Test every circuit and every conductor every time before you touch it.
Work on electrical equipment and conductors only when de-energized.
Lockout/tagout and ground before working on equipment.
Treat de-energized electrical equipment and conductors as energized until lockout/tagout, test, and ground procedures are implemented.
Wear protective clothing and equipment and use insulated tools in areas where there are possible electrical hazards.

“May is National Electrical Safety Month, and a great opportunity to increase workforce knowledge of electrical safety issues,” notes Brenner. “Whether you are an employer, safety director, electrician, or maintenance professional – safety is the most important issue for anyone who works on or around energized equipment.”

ESFI Offers Practical Pointers for Keeping Your Office Safe from Electrical Hazards

ESFI Offers Practical Pointers for Keeping Your Office Safe from Electrical Hazards

Arlington, VA (Vocus) May 11, 2010

The Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) is encouraging employers to promote electrical safety during National Electrical Safety Month this May by increasing employee awareness of the electrical hazards that may exist in an office setting.

The modern office environment has changed dramatically in recent years as a result of new office technologies and an increased reliance on electrical equipment. Improper use of this workplace equipment can cause serious electrical shock and burn injuries.

“Electrical accidents that occur in an office environment are usually a result of faulty or defective equipment, unsafe installation, or misuse of equipment – specifically, extension cords, power strips, and surge protectors,” says Brett Brenner, president of the Electrical Safety Foundation International.

National Electrical Safety Month is a great time to review workplace electrical safety practices. Effective electrical safety programs increase safety awareness, provide established safety guidelines, and ensure the proper tools and technology are used to mitigate the risks associated with electrical safety hazards.

Awareness of electrical hazards is critical to preventing accidents and creating a safer work environment. Following basic safety principles can help to ensure your safety and the safety of those around you:

Surge protectors protect equipment, but they do not provide protection from the potential hazards of an overloaded circuit. Make sure the electrical load is not too great for the circuit.
Avoid overloading outlets with too many appliances. Never plug in more than one high-wattage appliance at a time.
Unplug appliances when not in use to conserve energy, but also to minimize the opportunities for electric shock or fire.
Inspect electrical cords once a month to ensure that they are not frayed, cracked, or damaged.
Do not place electrical cords in high traffic areas, under carpets or across doorways where they pose a potential tripping hazard.
Instead of relying on extension cords and power strips, consider having a licensed electrician install additional outlets where you need them.
Ensure that all electrical products and equipment are certified by a nationally recognized testing laboratory such as UL, CSA, or ETL, and read the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.

Cerro Wire Solution Speeds Construction at Chicago Hospital

Cerro Wire Solution Speeds Construction at Chicago Hospital

(PRWEB) March 22, 2011

Cerro Wire LLC, a leading manufacturer of copper electrical building wire and cable, announces that its creative wire solutions saved both time and money in the recent construction of a Chicago hospital. The company was selected to provide wire for the building of Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare, a 50-acre hospital campus completed in 2010 in the Chicago suburb of Elmhurst.

Meade Electric, the project’s electrical contractor, chose Cerro Wire to supply the building wire, in cooperation with Steiner Electric and Callas/Kingsley, the electrical sales representative for Cerro Wire. Meade was looking to save time and money by using Cerro Wire’s new product, SLiPWire, a thermoplastic high heat-resistant nylon-coated (THHN) wire that doesn’t require additional lubrication for pulling. The SLiPWire cables feature True Sequential Footage, which uses a footage mark to document remaining wire, beginning with zero at the bottom of the reel and ending with the finished length at the top. The construction crew found the accurate footage mark to be a valuable time saver in determining how much wire was left on the reel and in planning future pulls.

Cerro Wire also devised a creative wire cutting solution to save even more time. Cuts were run in line at the insulation jacketing line of Cerro Wire’s manufacturing plant and simultaneously packaged directly onto the reels, exactly to the length needed for a particular pull. Close coordination between the wire plant and the contractor meant the installers didn’t have to do any cutting on the job site, saving significant time.

For more information about Cerro Wire’s involvement in the construction of Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare, please check out a vodcast featuring Andy Paine, director of business development at Cerro Wire. The video can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXn23CTVi28.
