Is She a Goddess or Is She the Handy Man?

Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) June 13, 2008

Artist Barbara Wurden is known for painting Goddess figures while giving video narration of her spiritual perspective on life. But now Wurden is transforming daily into only one Goddess and instead of a heavy perspective on life, she’s giving helpful handy tips and demonstrations on home-related projects.

Wurden calls herself the Handy Goddess. She claims she’s here to banish home project helplessness by empowering men and women to find the handy person within. Wurden knows that much of handy-work is easy as long as you watch the process first, making it easier to repeat for yourself. Wurden states,” I know that often just one simple tip can turn a seemingly difficult task into a true creative endeavor and make the project much easier and more fun.”

Being an on camera instructor is a familiar role for Wurden. She’s known for hosting and producing the ten title Faux Fun video series. Therefore, the transition from creating detailed faux painting instructional videos to starring in short and sweet daily handy tips for living was a natural move for this goddess. Wurden’s true personality shines as she delivers her helpful information. The Handy Goddesses daily tips truly embody Wurden’s desire and skill with hands-on projects.

Not unlike Barbie and all of her accouterments, The Handy Goddess is complete with her own apparel and color coordinated pink tool kits. She demonstrates while wearing her signature Wurden wonder jeans, a Handy goddess t-shirt, pink work boots and a matching pink tool belt.

With the growth of internet how-to video, the birth of the Handy Goddess V-Log only seemed fitting for this video producer. The timing is perfect for websites assisting in home improvement. The Handy Goddess is sure to be popular with do-it-yourself internet watchers. http://handygoddess.com/

SamsungCordless Sees Strong Market for Long Range Cordless Phones

SamsungCordless Sees Strong Market for Long Range Cordless Phones

(PRWEB) March 18, 2005

SamsungCordless views the market for long range cordless phones as bright – The cordless phones market in general is strong, and will remain strong especially in certain markets. Despite the rising demand for mobile phones, we believe that there is still a very strong market for cordless phones in the household sector.

Demand for long-range cordless phones could shrink in developed markets due to competition from mobile phones. However, in developing countries SamsungCordless is finding strong market interest in long-range cordless phones.

There are many innovations underway for the long-range cordless phone marketplace – Because the technology is quite mature, SamsungCordless is not really looking at new breakthroughs in this line. Our long-range cordless phone models can deliver an operating distance of 10km to 60km.

Our main priority in terms of R&D at this stage is to design more compact models with features that are similar to those found in mobile phones. We believe that is the main direction for product development. Even with the other cordless phone product lines, we are seeing more features and functions that are patterned after cellular phones.

Some specific features and functions you can expect in the coming months – Our upcoming models will have polyphonic tones. We are incorporating color displays. We are not integrating digital still camera functions just yet, but will be in the future.

In terms of design, the handsets are being made to look more and more like cellular phones.

SamsungCordless’ production targets for 2005 – We produced 200,000 units of long-range cordless phones in 2004. We exported all of them. Our main markets are Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

This year, we are preparing for a 20 percent increase in production volume. We have a factory in China. We have four Yamaha SMT lines in that facility. We handle all production in-house, except for housing designs, which we develop ourselves but subcontract.

SamsungCordless’ plans to diversify into other product lines – We are leveraging our strengths in the cordless phone market and will be expanding into 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz cordless phone development and production. As of now, we can’t specify the initial production targets, but there are definitely plans to make 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz cordless phones.

We began studying the market in June last year. We are hoping to develop in-house-branded 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz cordless phones by the second half of this year.

The Load Lock FASTener wins the Innovation Award at the National Hardware Show.

King of Prussia, PA (PRWEB) August 29, 2003

DRD Corporation has announced that its new Load Lock FASTener wins the highly coveted Retailers Choice Award for Innovation at The National Hardware Show in Chicago. This award is given to only 30 products out of tens of thousands of products appearing at the international show.

The patented Load Lock® mechanism is unique in many ways: It is the only self-feeding fastener, the only plastic fastener that can be fully adjusted while under load, and the only plastic fastener that does not release as a result of shifts in load directions. Through recent improvements to the innovative design, it has become the strongest plastic fastener design for one-inch strap. As the only self-locking fastener without a spring and the only strap fastener with dual-gripping surfaces, the Load Lock® is able to achieve significantly higher strengths than competing plastic buckles, including commonly found side-release and cam style buckles.

The Load Lock is truly unique in its unparalleled versatility and strength, making it an excellent alternative to bungee and metal buckle products for a wide range of applications. It is available in a growing number of premium products ranging from marine and automotive products to pet and household products.

New FlexPower Cordless Torque Screwdrivers by Mountz, Inc.

December 19, 2010 By: cakpuad Category: Hardware, Tools And Woodworking

New FlexPower Cordless Torque Screwdrivers by Mountz, Inc.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) April 1, 2011

Mountz, Inc. introduces a new line of cordless screwdrivers to the lineup branded FlexPower by Mountz. Built for torque control and durability, the cordless torque tools are built around the 10.8V and 14.4V high capacity lithium-ion battery platforms. These rugged cordless assembly tools increase productivity and enhance product quality through precision torque control and user comfort. The cordless screwdrivers are ideal for applications where air or electric power is not easily accessible. The cordless torque screwdrivers automatically stop when the preset torque has been reached.

In the demanding fastening applications where speed and maneuverability are key assembly requirements, the cordless tools operate at lengthy periods between charges and are flexible for tight space applications. The FlexPower cordless screwdrivers feature an ergonomic hand grip designed to improve control and reduce fatigue in long run applications.

The cordless screwdrivers are built with LED indicators that provide an audible and visual alarm signal for the operator as he/she achieves the preset torque value. The LEDs will provide a signal to the operator if the preset torque was not achieved, as well as provide an early warning of a low battery. Mountz, Inc. has improved the technology of cordless screwdrivers with an unique mechanism designed to automatically shut-off the tool when the battery has less than 25% of the charge, ensuring the quality of the fastening torque.

The FlexPower cordless screwdrivers are offered in a pistol style configuration as well as a right angle style with various models covering a torque range of 8.8-265.5 inch-pounds. The resourceful cordless screwdrivers are ideal for applications that have limited space restrictions and require a bolt or fastener to be tightened accurately.

The environmentally friendly right angle FlewPower cordless screwdriver models feature a high performance brushless motor design that provides durability and reduces the standard maintenance costs. All the cordless torque screwdrivers feature a LED light for applications with dark operating areas.

Mountz cordless torque screwdrivers are designed for precision torque control and are the state-of-the-art in innovative assembly. Controlling torque is essential for companies to ensure their product’s quality, safety and reliability isn’t compromised. The failure of a three-cent fastener that isn’t properly tightened can lead to catastrophic or latent failures. Fasteners that are insufficiently torqued can vibrate loose and excessive torque can strip threaded fasteners. Using a quality cordless torque screwdriver has become increasingly important for many companies to ensure that proper torque is being applied and maintains gauge requirements associated with the ISO 9001 Quality Standard.

New Internet Protection For Children That’s Easy For Parents to Use

New Internet Protection For Children That’s Easy For Parents to Use

Rancho Santa Fe, CA (PRWEB) November 18, 2004

Parents if your searching for a way to limit the amount of time your children spend online then The Internet Security Key is the hardware product you have been looking for. Simple, easy to use, and effective the Internet Security Key gives parents the ability to turn on and off the Internet with a security key that’s easy to use.

The Internet Security Key is designed for parents who want to protect their children from unsupervised access to the Internet and to limit the amount of time they spend online. It works in conjunction with existing software products or independently and is designed to give parents more control over their child’s access to potential online dangers.

The Internet Security Key works between the external cable or DSL modem and the computer to provide a secure and simple hardware solution for parents. This product replaces your existing Ethernet cable with a new cable that includes a security box and security card key.

By inserting the security card key into the security box the Internet signal is activated. By removing the security key the signal is disabled and users are denied access to the Internet. The security key can be easily carried with you and is coded with over 5,000 combinations preventing duplication. Cable connections to the computer and modem are protected with security sleeves preventing the removal of the cables without a specially enclosed tool.

The internet security Key was invented by a San Diego father, Michael Schriner, who wanted to prevent his children from being exposed to Internet pornography when he was not at home. According to Schriner “I wanted to protect my children from accidentally ending up on adult sites. With all the pop-up ads no child is safe on the Internet without adult supervision. I also wanted my children to do other things and not spend all their time online”. With Internet Security Key and a set of rules for using the Internet, Schriner now feels he finally has control over what his children are exposed to online. The Internet Security Key (patent pending) is the easy to use hardware solution that parents have been waiting for. The price for this product is $ 39.95 and can be ordered directly from their website at http://www.internetsecuritykey.com

Bolts for Christmas – A Unique Holiday Gift Idea

Bolts for Christmas – A Unique Holiday Gift Idea

North Weymouth, MA (PRWEB) December 9, 2006

Online retailer BoltDepot.com has devoted a web page to finding the right fastener assortment, even if the buyer isn’t familiar with fasteners. The new page is easy to navigate, with different types of assortments sorted by interests like boating and automobiles. This system allows family members to find the appropriate gift without knowing industry jargon.

Screws, nuts, and bolts are always a fine addition to any workshop. Having the right fasteners on hand saves extra trips to the hardware store.

Conveniently, there are many fastener assortments available that cover a wide range of sizes and types. The assortment cases are available in plastic or metal. If the customer is still unsure of what is exactly needed, Bolt Depot’s customer service representatives are more than happy to help narrow down choices.

If time is a concern, Bolt Depot offers several types of express shipping via UPS, ensuring orders are received before the holidays.

About Bolt Depot

The Bolt Depot story started in October 1949. Cazeault Hardware, a small family operated hardware store opened with a strong focus on marine and industrial fasteners, such as stainless steel and bronze nuts and bolts. Soon it became well known in the suburbs of Boston for stocking this unusually wide variety of nuts and bolts.

When a large chain hardware store moved into the area this existing focus inspired the company to create a way of easily ordering nuts and bolts online, thus allowing customers across the country to easily access the extensive fastener inventory.

Visit http://www.BoltDepot.com for more information.

Proximity Systems Announces First Large Sale of New LAN Based Electronic Lock Management System; Completion of Four Pilot Installations

Houston, TX (Vocus) May 14, 2010

Houston-based Proximity Systems (http://www.proximitysystems.com ) has shipped its first large order of its patent-pending LAN Based Electronic Lock Management System for use in its retractable, wall-mounted computer workstations.

The order from Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, for server software and more than 100 clients, follows four successful pilots at different hospitals throughout the country.

The new locking system simplifies and streamlines user and lock changes and offers reporting and audit capability. The locking system is used for WorkStations located in hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

“Our pilots have confirmed that this innovative product not only automates the tedious task of manually re-programming electronic keypad locks, but also provides important audit and reporting data for management,” said Jeremy Goza, Director of Business Development, Proximity Systems.

Each pilot lasted between 6-12 months, depending on the hospital. The locking system was used in a variety of settings, including post-partum and surgical units. The locks were used to secure supplies and medications.

“The most important feature is the capability to have an audit trail of who has accessed the medication box,” said Ley Samson, Senior Director of IT&S, Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. “This helps us comply with The Joint Commission’s medication security and storage requirements. Each staff uses his or her badge, so the audit report gives us a unique identifier and a time stamp when the transaction took place.”

“User administration can be done remotely, which saves time,” Ley explained. “In our case, a licensed staff is designated to provision access for every nursing unit. They like having the capability to grant and remove access as needed.”

The locking system combines hardware components and proprietary client/server software with an intuitive user interface for administrators to add, delete, or modify user and lock information from a central location. In addition, the software has a searchable and sortable reporting capability and offers administrators information about who accessed the cabinets at what time. The locking hardware connects directly through the PC in the workstation, eliminating the need to run additional cabling.

“We look forward to working with Clear Lake Regional Medical Center and other hospitals and clinics to help them simplify and streamline their locking systems,” Goza said.

The new locking system can be ordered with new Proximity Systems’ retractable wall-mounted computer workstations, and many older multi-compartment workstations can also be retrofitted with the new locking system.

About Proximity

Proximity Systems is a Houston based company that designs, engineers and manufactures customizable, wall-mounted, retractable WorkStations that improve workflow, enhance efficiency and optimize floor space by integrating equipment, meds/supplies and patient information at point-of-care.
