Winters Company Acquires Gloucester, Mass.-based Cape Ann Plumbing

The purchase, which officially closed on September 29, resulted in the hiring of six new employees by Winters Company and is part of the company’s overall growth and development strategy.

The company continues to operate exclusively under the Winters Company name with its headquarters in Cambridge, Mass. and its state-of-the art training facility in Natick, Mass.

The purchase of Cape Ann is know by Winters Company employees as an “entrustment,” according to Flynn, who said Winters was “entrusted” with dozens of homeowners who have been faithful customers of Cape Ann for many years. Cape Ann Plumbing, operated by JW Services, has provided plumbing and heating service to a loyal base of local customers in the Gloucester area for 25 years.

Winters Company plans to build the volume of service provided in the Gloucester area through increased market awareness and customer loyalty. It currently derives 80 percent of its business from repeat customers and referrals, thanks in part to its industry-leading training and customer support programs.
